  • ObjectiveRegional differences of agricultural industrial structure adjustment under the background of labor transfer was studies in order to provide reference for government in drawing up agricultural industrial restructuring policies.MethodUsing location quotient analysis, an empirical analysis on regional differences in agricultural industry restructur-ing of 31 provinces(regions or cities) during 1998-2013 was conducted. Result(1)Through the adjustment of agricultur-al industrial structure , agriculture-forestry-animal husbandry-fishery structure upgraded continuously . ( 2 ) There were large differences in agricultural industrial structure adjustment in different regions in China , which was indicated through variation of superior areas, adjustment extent, adjustment orientation and adjustment highlights. (3)The adjustment could be divided into four types: A(positive adjustment, high location quotient), B(negative adjustment, high location quo-tient), C(positive adjustment, low location quotient) and D(negative adjustment, low location quotient). Targets of in-dustrial restructuring in most parts have been achieved. Industrial restructuring in a few areas did not realized the expected targets. SuggestionLocal government should recognize the advantages in agricultural industry , adjust measures according to local conditions, showcase the strengths and avoid the weaknesses. Type A should strengthen scientific and technologi-cal innovation, promote and guide industrial upgrading; type B should increase capital investment, expand the scale and strengthen industrial development; type C should develop the characteristic agriculture by utilizing resources; type D should make full use of market outside the region , improve trade and service level and transfer supporting industries in proper timing.
