Tentative study on approaches to regional agricultural scientific research work in new stage---A case of Baise Branch of Guangxi Academy of Agricultural Sciences

ObjectiveApproaches to regional agricultural scientific research work in new stage were explored to provide references for gradually improving innovative systems of national agricultural science and technology. MethodBased on the analysis of successful experiences, major difficulties and issues in Baise Branch of Guangxi Academy of Agricultural Sciences, new development approaches were proposed accordingly. ResultSince the establishment of Baise Branch of Guangxi Academy of Agricultural Sciences in 2009 , new progress has been seen in team building, new culti-var introduction and breeding , demonstration and extension of agricultural technology and agricultural scientific achieve-ments transformation. It has over 12 million Yuan scientific fund and 30-plus scientific papers. Nevertheless, its deve-lopment has been restrained by lacking high-level talents, fund shortage and incomplete transformation mechanism in a-gricultural scientific achievements. SuggestionTo better play its role in serving regional agricultural development and steadily optimize scientific service , a series of suggestions must be implemented including innovative work ideas , clear scientific positioning, special agriculture improvement, more demonstration and training, management mechanism per-fection and scientific achievements transformation acceleration.
