Empirical research on circulation efficiency and its evolution trend of Guangxi agricultural products in 1999-2012

ObjectiveThe circulation efficiency of Guangxi agricultural products was empirically measured and its evolu-tion trend was interpreted and analyzed to provide references for further research and government decision-making. MethodOn the basis of literature references, expert advice, and the current status and characteristics of Guangxi agricultural products circulation, the circulation efficiency measurement index system for Guangxi agricultural products was designed and built. The circulation efficiency was empirically measured using factor analysis method based on the statistical data of 1999-2012. Re-sultFrom 1999 to 2012, the circulation efficiency index of Guangxi agricultural products increased from-0.52 to 0.80, and the overall trend kept upward and showed three significant stages. The circulation efficiency in 1999-2002 increased slightly, but it was relatively low. The circulation efficiency in 2003-2007 increased significantly and it was orderly and efficient. In 2008-2012, the circulation efficiency decreased and then increased. It will remain small-scale fluctuations in the future. Sugges-tionTo improve the agricultural product circulation efficiency of Guangxi, the suggestions included perfecting agricultural product circulation mechanism, optimizing agricultural product market system, developing circulation cooperation organiza-tion and advancing agricultural product circulation technology.
