Change in soil fertility of Eucalyptus sprout stand in Huangmian forest farm of Guangxi

  • ObjectiveChange in soil fertility of Eucalyptus sprout land (1-4 years) in Huangmian forest farm of Guangxi was studied to provide references for its scientific fertilization. MethodSoil comprehensive fertility of Eucalyptus sprout land at different stages was analyzed using grey correlation degree analysis method. Comprehensive soil fertility changes were ana-lyzed based on the evaluation indicators of soil pH,soil organic matter, total N,total P,total K,alkali-hydrolyzable nitrogen, available P, and rapid available K, Ca, Mg, Cu, Zn ,B, Fe and Mn. ResultIn different soil layer, soil comprehensive fertility presented that A layer (0-20 cm)was higher than B layer (20-40 cm). Soil comprehensive fertility coefficient of Euca-lyptus sprout land changed from 0.608 to 0.595 at alternation cutting stage, showing a tendency of entire consumption of soil nutrients.ConclusionSoil fertility of Eucalyptus sprout land firstly increased, and then decreased. After the second year, soil fertility consumption continued to increase. Fertilization had significant effects on soil fertility, and thus scientific fertilization and nutrient management were significant to Eucalyptus industrial sustainable development.
