Effects of biological deodorization bacteria on decomposed process of pig manure compost

  • ObjectiveThe present study applied biological deodorization bacteria to improve ecological environment of pig farm in order to reduce its pollutions on atmosphere, water source and soil. MethodPig manure was used for compost fermentation. The changes in compost temperature, pH, moisture content and soybean seed germination index (GI) of the two experimental treatments (with and without biological deodorization bacteria) were determined. ResultCompared to the control , the treatment with biological deodorization bacteria increased compost temperature easier and high tempera-ture phase occurred 4 days in advance. The pH variation tendency of compost of two treatments was basically the same and kept in pH 8-9. Water content of compost was 28%on the 30th day and reached decomposition standards, while water con-tent of the control was 33%. The GI of soybean seeds was 53%on the 30th day, while the control was 42%. ConclusionBio-logical deodorization bacteria can promote the decomposed process and can be used in production.
