Abstract: ObjectiveThe optimum ratio of dietary energy and protein level of Guangxi Guixiang chicken was de-termined to provide references for formulating its raising standard. MethodWith Guangxi Guixiang chicken of 1 day as the research target , the experiment consisting of two factors and three levels was designed , which included three energy levels (11.57, 12.17 and 12.77 MJ/kg) and three protein levels (17.5%, 19.0% and 20.5%). The effects of dietary en-ergy and protein levels on the apparent digestibility ratio of Guangxi Guixiang chicken (1-4 weeks old ) were explored .ResultThe results showed that the diet increased energy levels significantly increased the apparent digestibility ratios of gross energy, crude protein and crude fat. The crude fiber digestibility generally went up with the increase of energy level. The apparent digestibility ratio of calcium and phosphorus went up and then down , which was the highest at a moderate energy level. The increasing of the dietary protein level caused a significant reduce in the apparent di-gestibility ratio of crude protein (P<0.05, the same hereinafter)and a significant increase in the apparent digestibility ratio of crude fiber but no significance in the rest indexes (P>0.05). ConclusionThe dietary energy and protein level have influence on the apparent digestibility ratio of Guangxi Guixiang chicken to some extent. In conclusion , the optimal di-etary energy and protein level are confirmed as high metabolizable energy(12.77 MJ/kg) and high protein(20.5%).
