Abstract:
ObjectiveThe effects of different media, shading degree and sampling time on cutting rooting rate of cutting propagation of Parakmeria yunnanenisis were studied to provide references for breeding seedling of Parakmeria yunnanenisis. MethodTaking semi-lignified tender twigs of Parakmeria yunnanenisis as material, rooting and survival conditions of cutting seedlings were explored using pearlite + peat soil (3∶1), pearlite, river sand, river sand + pearlite (3∶1), coconut chaff as mediums, under 20%, 50% and 80% shading degree in June 2013, October 2013,January 2014 and March 2014. The effects of different media, shading degrees and sampling time on cutting rooting were analyzed.ResultThe suited medium was pearlite + peat soil (3∶1),in which rooting rate was 21.9%,root quantity was 2.1 and root length was 1.8 cm. The suited shading degree was 50%, in which rooting rate was 2.1%,13.6% and 17.7% higher than 20% and 80% shading degree. The suited sampling time was January,in which rooting rate was 9.4%,21.9% and 24.0%higher than that in March,June and October. ConclusionParakmeria yunnanenisis has the best cutting rooting ef-fect when sampled in January, using perlite and peat soil(3∶1) as medium and under the condition of 50%shading degree.
