Abstract:
ObjectiveThe present study was conducted to evaluate and classify 64 accessions of S. spontaneum Yunnan 82-114 F1 in order to provide references for screening improved germplasm resources. MethodThe gray correla-tion degree based on the theory of gray breeding was put to use in comprehensive evaluation and classification of nine traits of 64 generation F1 derived from Yunnan 82-114. ResultThe results showed that the top 10 materials in gray cor-relation degree ranking of all materials were as fellows: Yunrui 08-155, Yunrui 08-52-1, Yunrui 08-147, Yunrui 08-157, Yunrui 08-197, Yunrui 08-105, Yunrui 08-111, Yunrui 08-96, Yunrui 08-52-2, Yunrui 08-83. There were five materials exceeding the control variety ROC22 and ten materials over YT93-159 in gray correlation degree ranking , respectively. While the other 54 materials did not exceed both of two control varieties. The triangle matrix was constructed by using gray correlation degree among the 64 materials. The 64 materials were classified into 22 types when the equiva-lence matrix λ was 0.910, and most of them could be classified into a type by oneself. The results of gray correlation de-gree evaluation and cluster analysis indicated that, Yunrui 08-155, Yunrui 08-52-1, Yunrui 08-147, Yunrui 08-157, Yunrui 08-197, Yunrui 08-105 and Yunrui 08-96 could be used as key materials for cross breeding. ConclusionCom-bining gray correlation degree evaluation with cluster analysis is a convenient and forthright evaluating method , and is very available on guiding high-efficient screening , crossing and utilization of sugarcane germplasm resources.
